The consciousness and the matter are two realities ,when get intermingled it forms the Jeeva.This Jeeva is equated to the planet Jupiter in the astrology.This Jeeva ;the confluence of Prakriti and Purusha is the result of the Karma .So the path of Jeeva is crafted by the karma .The hardware of the Jeeva is created by the karma ,but this hardware can be reprogrammed by the surroundings;that's what is explained in the Shiv Sutra as चितिरेव चेतनपदात् अवरूढा चैत्यसंकोचिनी चित्तम् ।।.So to define the surroundings means applying the rules of Vaastu Shastra.The higher level of consciousness ie Brahma ;which gets in the duality of the Purusha and Prakriti ie Consciousness and the matter lies in the central zone of the Vaastu named as the Brahmsthan.
